Privacy
Only collect what the experience needs.
Guest-comment emails are stored as one-way hashes for moderation. Newsletter emails are used for the requested briefing. Public profiles, comments, likes, saved stories, and basic service logs are handled only for the features readers use.
Your account and your choices
Registration stores your name, email address and a securely hashed password. Your name, chosen username and biography can appear with your contributions. Your email, saved reading list and private account export are not displayed publicly. You can edit your profile, download your account data, or delete your account from your reader profile.
Comments and deletion
You may comment without an account and choose an anonymous public name. Anonymous posting does not mean the service has no technical records: security logs and a hash of the supplied email may remain. Account deletion removes your profile and saved items, removes a newsletter subscription for the same email, and replaces your comments with a deletion marker so replies can remain understandable. For removal of a guest contribution, use the contact page and identify the comment URL; do not post private information in a public comment.
Cookies, security and other websites
Essential session cookies support sign-in, security and interactions. Operational logs help investigate abuse and service failures. Source links lead to independently operated websites with their own privacy practices. We do not currently load advertising or third-party audience analytics scripts. This notice and any necessary consent controls must be updated before those services are enabled.
Questions about your information
Use our contact page to request access, correction or removal of personal information. We may need enough information to verify ownership and protect other readers. Deletion from the live service does not necessarily remove existing security logs or protected backups immediately; those must be handled under the operator's retention process.
